I overexposed the scene by several stops so that the light really overwhelms this image of cattails. I think it's ethereal and beautiful. I shot another version that's even more simplified. I love them both. Which do you like best?

I like the first one better because there's something to focus on. My eyes slide away from the second one.
I was fascinated by the ethereal quality of the second. The first, though incredibly thought-provoking was much too representational for me. The second, however allows me to consider the goats that must have eaten the cattails while enjoying the noonday sun. I'm enthralled by the symbolism.
